Background Dr. Samuel E. Ojogbo graduated from the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University, in 2004 with Second Honors (Upper Division). Thereafter he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School for the mandatory post Bachelor’s training which culminated in his being called to the Nigerian Bar and subsequent enrolment in the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2005. He attended the University of Western Ontario (now Western University) in Canada where he bagged a distinguished LL.M Degree in 2007. When he returned to Nigeria, Samuel Ojogbo joined the Faculty of Law, Benson Idahosa University in 2011 as Lecturer 11. He was promoted Lecturer 1 in 2014. In that same year, the prestigious University of Nottingham admitted him for a PhD program on full scholarship with the Nottingham University Vice Chancellor’s award for research excellence. He concluded his PhD Degree Program in 2018 and returned to Benson Idahosa University immediately after his studies in Nottingham. He was promoted Senior Lecturer in 2018. In July 2019, he was appointed Head of the Department of Private and Property Law in Benson Idahosa University, a position he held until May 2020 when he joined the Faculty of Law of Delta State University as a Senior Lecturer. At present, he is an Associate Professor and Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, since joining the University in October 2021. His primary area of research interest is company law but he is also interested in family law, equity and trust law, labour law and legal research and methodology.
Samuel Ojogbo is a prolific writer and has published many articles in reputable journals worldwide. He has also attended several conferences locally and internationally where he presented papers in Law and contemporary issues.
